Sails, Jute, Upholstery: Materials That Tell Stories
The materials we choose are never random. We recover decommissioned sails, jute from coffee sacks, vintage upholstery fabrics, and agricultural nets. Each fabric has a past—it has crossed seas, held aromas, furnished rooms, harvested fruits. We select, clean, and enhance them through patient, skilled hands.
A Decentralized Atelier: A Network of Hands and Territory
CuCilento is also a decentralized atelier: many of our seamstresses work from home, in the heart of Cilento. It’s an ethical choice that balances work and family life, values local skills, and minimizes transport waste. Each piece is the result of a network of relationships, slow time, and shared care.
